The coordination between a ligand and metal is spontaneous uncontrollable process. In this Article, we successfully observe the formation of in triphenylamine-functionalized salicylaldehyde Schiff base with copper(II) ion. TPA-Py first reacts Cu2+ stepwise process to afford dynamic complex TPA-Py@Cu2+ ([ligand]:[Cu2+] = 1:1), which further an extra ion 2TPA-Py@4Cu2+ following (or cumulative) stability constants: K1 4.0694 × 103 K2 1.0761 106, respectively. entire can be visualized, mode probe toward copper was evaluated by ultraviolet-visible/fluorescence spectra, single-crystal X-ray diffraction, density functional theory calculations, high-resolution mass nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopic titrations.
